SIGNIFICANT OTHERS...RED

Grenache, Petit Sirah, Petit Verdot, Mourvedre, Carignane

Sonoma, Napa & Beyond

Oh la la! So many French varietals, so little time!

Grenache is light in body, with black cherry currant and raisin.

Petite Syrah is a dark, tannic, fruity grape. It sometimes has smoky or chocolaty tones.

Petit Verdot has tones of violet and leather, and tannins as firm as a politicians handshake.

Mourvedre has a meaty richness, firm backbone and a long finish.

Carignane, with bright fruit & cigar notes, is the Rodney Dangerfield of the vineyards-it get's no respect.

Sangiovese

Like an Italian brunette in high heels, and as juicy as the Jersey Shore, Sangiovese is

sexy, rich, spicy and occasionally tart. It often has flavors of cherry, red

currants, and cinnamon, with and tobacco leaf notes.

                   Tempranillo, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Barbera

Temprinillo is ripe like the plane in Spain, and rich wine with aromas of cherry, blackberry and plums.

Malbec is a juicy mix of plum and rich dark chocolate, and French roast coffee.

Cabernet Franc can be supple, with raspberry and black currant, or occasionally, herbacious.

Barbera, the Italian Stallion, has vanilla aromas & blackberry notes; And like Rocky Balboa himself,

both have mighty strong tannins.

MERITAGE

While most wines are named after a single grape, Meritage wines represent the winemakers highest art form...blending. Like Anthony & Cleopatra, Romeo & Juliet, and Woody & Buzz, these are grapes that just belong together. With a range from medium to full bodied, smooth and silky in texture, complex, robust structure, these wines have a long, supple finish. Bordeaux style wines consist of a classic round-up of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Petite Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Enjoy these wines to infinity... and beyond!
